We're just one month into the 2011-12 TV season and already we've got some casualties.

• Charlie's Angels (ABC) is ending after eight episodes. After just two original TV series and only two big-screen adaptations? It's not Batman, that's for sure.
• Free Agents (NBC) is ending after four episodes. Most shows about a man and a woman jump the shark when they "do it." In Free Agents, they do it in the first episode, so it was cancelled just that much sooner.
• H8R (CW) is ending after four episodes of celebrities facing "real" people who hate them. If I say we don"t need more TV shows with Kim Kardashian, does that make me a hater?
• How To Be A Gentleman (CBS) is ending after one season. This sitcom's tagline is "Prude meets Dude." It's like The Odd Couple, but without the funny part.
• The Playboy Club (NBC) is ending after just three episodes. The gentleman rabbit didn't survive the transition from nightclub to TV show. I guess women in bunny costumes is just a one-trick pony.

Still, this year's losers all outran these three shows cancelled after just one episode aired: Public Morals in 1996, Emily's Reasons Why Not in 2006, and the Animal House-inspired Co-Ed Fever in 1979.
